C016492 PERSONAL MEDAL/BADGE GROUPING.

A grouping belonging to Lance Corporal "Sidney Walpole Huson" of the 123rd Canadian Pioneer Battalion attached to the 3rd Canadian Divisional Signal Company. The grouping consists of the British War Medal 1914-1918 and the Victory Medal 1914-1919 along with the Canadian WWI Memorial Cross. All three medals are engraved. Also included is a "Canada" brass cap badge and a single chevron for Lance Corporal. All are mounted on a purple felt 20cm x 25.5cm section of heavy card stock. Of Note: as per the link below, Lcpl. Huson was killed in action on October 21, 1917 at the age of 33 "while patrolling lines to Heavy Artillery to ensure lines stayed in prior to an attack." He is buried at Dochy Farm New British Cemetery in Belgium.
