C014795 CANADIAN/U.S. MARK I ROSS BAYONET. 

Mark I "Ross" bayonet with integral scabbard and brown leather frog. The bayonet’s blued metal pommel has a stud guide and stud, with "Ross Rifle Co.," "Quebec," and "Patented 1907" stamped to one side of it, and a "C broad arrow," along with other markings are stamped to the other side. The blade is also bears two Ross Factory Inspection marks to the edge of the blade. The age darkened, scratched and pitted, contoured wooden grips are fixed with two screws. The front wooden grip is engraved “U.S.”. The cross guard is in place, but he circular muzzle has been removed. The 10", un fullered blade shows various marks with some chipping to the edge of the blade. The integral scabbard measures approximately 11" long with a raised sewn seam. Along the seam is embossed “Mk.1".
