C014090 ITALIAN PILOTS BADGE 1923-1935.

BACKGROUND: The Regia Aeronautica became a service in 1923 and adopted a new uniform and instituted new metal qualification badges that were to be worn above the ribbons on the left breast.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A stamped gilt badge, about 62mm wide by 22mm high, of an eagle in flight, surmounted by a crown. The reverse is a mirror image of the obverse with a pin-back mount device. It is in very good condition with an over all age patina. A very nice example of a prewar Italian Pilots Badge.
