C013391 DUTCH FEMALE "NATIONALE JEUGDSTORM" BELT BUCKLE.

BACKGROUND: The Dutch "Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging" (National Socialist Movement), founded by Anton Mussert in December 1931, established a youth branch, "Nationale Jeugdstorm," in May 1934. This branch was sub-divided into two different male and female sections based on the age of the personnel. The section for males aged 14-17 was the designated Stormers (Storm Troopers).

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: The stamped, two-piece, 48mm diameter, grey alloy buckle features the right-facing profile of a sea mew in flight above three stylized waves, all against a pebbled background and surrounded by the embossed inscription "Nationale Jeugdstorm," with the outside edge bordered with a stylized linked chain. Scarce buckle.
