C013293 SERBIAN M1908 SERVICE DRESS UNIFORM.
A grouping that includes an officer’s visor cap, M1908 service dresswith matching trousers and leather belt. The visor cap appears to be Bulgarian, but does bear a Serbian cockade to the front. The cap measures approximately 53". The "maternity" style service dress bears a row of seven black buttons that leads to a stand up collar with a pair of hooks and matching eyelets. A pair of collar patches are sewn to each collar point. A pair of large hip pockets with flaps is present to the lower section of the tunic. A pair of integral button shoulder straps are to either side of the neck. These buttons do not match those that run along the front of the tunic. The interior is partially lined in an off white linen that that bears multiple stamps, including a 1929 date stamp. The chest measures approximately 36". The wool shows typical wear. The matching trousers has a waist that measures approximately 32" with a 29" inseam. The interior also bears multiple markings that includes a 1939 date stamp. A black leather, single prong brass buckle belt is also included. It measures approximately 4.5cm wide x 110cm or 43.5" long. There is an embossment to the leather at one end that appears to be a person’s name.
