C011176 ITALIAN WWII COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL OF THE 2ND ARMY (1940-1941).
Awarded to veterans of the Italian Second Army , who under General Vittorio Ambrosio, occupied Yugoslav territory, taking Ljubljana and the Dalmation Coast. This dye struck, bronze medal measures approximately 35mm in diameter that features a Victory Figure to the front, with an eagle to reverse, along with the inscription "2 Armata, Oltre la Meta". The engraver’s initials, AEFER for Costantino Afffer is to the front, left edge. The medal is suspended by a red, blue and orange silk ribbon.
