C010976 ITALIAN WWII AERONAUTICAL VALOUR MEDAL.
A bronze, dye struck medal that was instituted in 1927 with three grades; gold, silver and bronze. The medal features the Crown of Savoy with an eagle clutching a shield below. The words "Al Valore Aeronautico" are to the bottom rim. The medal has a fixed loop from which a red and blue silk ribbon is suspended. The reverse shows partial views of a fasces symbol. The medallion measures approximately35mm in diameter.
