A tan coloured, cotton forage cap with brown leather visor and fold-down side panels which scallop down into a front double button closure. Both of the two small alloy buttons are embossed with St. Stephen’s crown atop a bird in flight. Behind this closure is a small fold-down visor. Proceeding from behind the visor to the forward peak of the crown are three gold, inverted "V" rank soutache, signifying the rank of Captain. Above the soutache is a gold wire cockade whose circular center features the horizontally arranged Hungarian national colors of red, white and green. An officers cap badge is affixed to the right wearing side panel. The interior is lined with a brown leather sweatband that is manufacture marked in gilt. The dry visor is pulling away from the body of the cap to the front.
