C010390 BRITISH 6LB MARK III TANK SHELL (Inert/Deactivated). (Deactivated)

6-Pounder (57x306mmR) Mark III shell as used in the Ordnance Quick-Firing 6-Pounder 6cwt Hotchkiss gun which was the main armament in Mark IV, Mark V, and Mark VIII British tanks. The base of the shell case is dated (1917) and manufacturer-marked (Kynoch). Marked "6 PR III, C.F. , 1917, Lot 81". The head appears to be "dug".
