Rock Island Arsenal Model 1906 US Army Mess Cup Dated "1907. Far less common than the Models 1874, 1885 and the later Model 1908 Experimental Cups. The Model 1906 (Slot handle) was the first US army general issue mess cup made of aluminum. This cup is in very very good condition, Doesn't look like its been used much, Just a real nice turn of the century US Army mess cup. The aluminum cup measures 4” high and 4” in diameter. The cup is full form and the cork washer behind the handle is intact.
