A British pattern 1888 bayonet Mk.I second type with two large rivets in the handle. The unsheathed bayonet has an overall length of 42.1cm. Its contoured bird’s head pommel has a stud guide and stud. The contoured wooden grips are fixed with two rivets. The contoured metal cross guard has a circular muzzle guide to its upper extension. Its 30.5cm bright blade is double edged with no fullers. Ricasso is stamped the "WD broad arrow" acceptance mark used by the British government. Other side is ,maker marked with Crown & VR markings. The blade shows some pitting. Scabbard not included.
