C007395 1930’S USMC “CHINA MARINES BELT BUCKLE.

A two piece, well known style of private purchase belt buckle attributed to Marines in the 1930’s in China. This buckle has been repeatedly polished so much of the detail on the globe is polished away. If you look into the low areas with a 10x loupe, you will see a lot of cotton fibers and polish residue down in the lowest areas, the proof of the extensive polishing. The buckle measures approximately 8cm in overall length.
