BACKGROUND: The Webley MKIV .455 revolver was known as the "Boer War" Model due to the large quantities of officers who purchased them on the way to partake in the conflict. During WWI the MkVI became the standard sidearm for British and Commonwealth troops as was distributed to all arms of the military.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A large .455 Webley Revolver, named to "Lt. Davis". The holster measures approximately 35cm long x 19cm wide at the flap and tapers to 4.5cm at the bottom where there is a leather plug with a brass drainage hole.
