Uni-ssued original WW2 aluminum mess kit, comprised of a kidney-shaped body and lid, similar in pattern and construction to its German counterpart. The lid has a folding wire handle triple riveted to its reverse. The body has a wire handle triple riveted to each side. Mint mess kit, showing only storage ageing, retaining part of the original brownish storage paper.
