C006192 U.S. ARMY SERVICE FORCES SERVICE GROUPING.
This grouping consists of a tunic and trousers. The tunic is a single-breasted, dark olive drab wool tunic with a four button front closure, an open collar with lay-down lapels, a patch pocket to each breast, and horizontal slash pockets to each hip. The buttons to the front closure, and the smaller versions of these to the integral shoulder straps and the straight-edged pocket flaps, are all of convex, gilt-colored alloy with the coat-of-arms of the United States embossed against their horizontally ribbed backgrounds. A "U.S." monogram, on a brass disk, is pinned to the right side of the collar, and a similar device, with crossed rifles, indicating infantry, is pined to the left. A shoulder flash representing the Army Service Forces is sewn to each arm, just below the shoulder seam, above an rank badge. A pair of brass belt hooks are present to the rear side seams. The interior is un-lined with no labels or markings. The chest measures approximately 36". The pair r of olive drab wool, straight-legged service trousers have a four button French fly with a fifth button and buttonhole at the waist. All of the buttons are of olive drab-colored Bakelite. Vertical side seam slash pockets are to each hip, a watch fob pocket is below the waistband and two horizontal buttoned slash pockets are to the rear. Seven vertical belt loops are along the exterior waistband. The pants are unlined, with the exception of a cotton waistband to which a white cotton tag is sew showing the size as "W32 L33". Nice pressed seam.

rank. Used from 1920 to 1942 in US. Rare and odd rank. I have looked for many
years and they are Very hard to find in the US. Our army was small then and so
few of these ranks were even made. These became the Technician grades in US
shortly after we entered the war. Tech grades look like regular Corporal,
Sergeant, Staff Sergeant, but have a T on them.
