A khaki wool side cap with a pair of small brass "New Zealand Forces" buttons to the front, while a bi-metal "The Wellington West Coast & Taranaki" Regiment cap badge is affixed to the left size. The bade is affixed by lugs, and a broken off match stick. The cap is lined, with a small size tag for "6 7/8".
