BACKGROUND:
The A.R.P. (Air Raid Precautions) organization was responsible for procuring and issuing of Civil Defense helmets in the UK during WW2. Helmets where issued to workers in areas and factories that where likely to be bombed by the Luftwaffe.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Standard MKII military style production example. Retains most of its original paint. No visible markings or dates that I can see. Complete original pattern liner and neck flap.
