C004095 IRISH REGIMENT OF CANADA SGIAN DUBH “Major A. Cockeram”.

A 21.5cm long ceremonial knife that bears the crest of the Irish Regiment of Canada to the hilt. The reverse of the silver band to the scabbard is engraved “Irish Regiment Toronto” and “Major A. Cockeram.” The 8.5cm long, pointed blade is manufacture marked “R.G. Lawrie Glasgow & Edinburgh”. Of Note: Major A. Cockeram had an extensive military career that included fighting in both World Wars, as well as a political career. He was awarded the D.S.O in WWI.
