A soft, khaki wool cap with a leather chin strap affixed by a pair of brass buttons with the British coat of arms. These buttons are showing a high degree of verdigris. Affixed to the front is a RFC cap badge affixed by lug and cotter pin. There are six metal grommets to the underside of the cap to the rear. The underside of the stiff visor is in green. The interior has a quilted circular pattern sewn to the interior of the crown with a tan leather sweatband. A partial manufacture tag can be seen. A size tag of "7 1/4" is under the sweatband.
