

















C002395 IRISH REGIMENT OF CANADA LIEUTENANT’S UNIFORM GROUPING.
This group consists of a green wool caubeen with an officer’s light blue hackle, bi-metal cap badge on a black rosette and a size 7 1/4. The wool cut away tunic with the front cut out and tapered away toward the hips. Four brass buttons are to the front with a lay down collar and integral shoulder straps. Two breast pockets with scalloped flaps, as well as two hip pockets with straight flaps, with curved fronts that follow the lines of the jacket, are present. All buttons are identical to those running to the front. Matching bi-metal collar dogs represent the Irish Regiment are present to each point. Each shoulder strap has a pair of pips that denote the rank of Lieutenant along with "Canada" brass shoulder tiles. A green lanyard extends around the left shoulder. The manufacture tag has been removed from the interior breast pocket. The chest measures approximately 36". Included is a belt of the same material as the tunic, and a pair of brass belt hooks. A pleated wool kilt in the pattern of the Irish Regiment of Canada with a pair of brown leather straps with the corresponding single prong buckle to each side. A green rosette (or bow) is to the front bottom left. This rosette or bow is worn by Senior NCO’s of this regiment. The interior of waist in fully lined. The straps look to have been replaced/modern. The waist measures approximately 38" and is 23.5" long. Lastly, is a brown leather Sam Browne belt that measures approximately 104.5cm long.
