A single breasted, grey-green tunic with a four button front with lapels and lay down collar. The tunic has four, pleated patch front pockets with straight edged button down flaps. The straight cut sleeves have fold back French cuffs stitched in the upright position and trimmed in golden yellow wool branch of service piping. The lower forearm of each sleeve has rank tress stripes that represent the rank of Lieutenant. The reverse of the tunic has a central, vertical tail skirt vent. The tunic has slip on shoulder boards in grey-green wool/rayon blend fabric with golden yellow wool branch of service piping, from which the rank insignia badges have been removed. The bottom and narrow slip on tongues are constructed in golden yellow wool. The fabric shoulder board retaining loops and screw post buttons are all intact. The tunic has a black velvet lay down collar with golden yellow wool piping to the forward edge and two stamped brass, five pointed, screw post rank stars. The lining has quilted panel to each breast with an internal padding. The buttons are all the fire gilted alloy type with embossed crossed canons and a flaming bomb on a horizontally ribbed background and most appear to have their original stitching. The tunic is roughly size 40"chest. The tunic shows light/moderate usage and wear.
