A four piece grouping that consists of a busby, tunic, breeches and boots.
1. The 16cm tall black busby with busby bag is marked to the interior with a WD marking, a "6 3/4" size marking, as well as a 1906 date. A subdued yellow cord is to the circumference of the hat with brass hooks for the chin strap and capline. The leather sweatband shows wear. There is some mothing to the busby bag. A 20.5 cm long white hair plume is also included.
2. The tunic has a 14 round brass button front with the Artillery logo to the fronts. All are marked "W. Dowler & Sons, Birm" to the reverse. The tunic bears a stand up collar with a pair of hooks and eyelets that is trimmed with yellow cord with a red wool inlay and a pair of artillery brass collar dogs. There is a pair of yellow cord shoulder straps with corresponding buttons with one strap held in place by a safety pin. The yellow cord design of crows feet and Austrian knot design extends around the cuff and the rear panel. The interior has a wool lining with a manufacture tag this has partially worn away. There is some mothing to the interior. The chest measures approximately 38".
3. The matching breeches has a six button French fly and a 5cm red wool stripe that extends to the outside of each leg. The waist measures approximately 32" with a breech of 24". The interior waistband has various stampings visible including a WD broad arrow marking and a manufacture stamp. The inner thighs have a reinforced panel of ribbed cotton. There are a pair of buttons at the cuff of each leg. There is some mothing to the wool.
4. The black leather boots have a shaft that measures approximately 47cm long from the top of the stacked heel. The foot measures approximately 31.5cm long. Pull tabs are present to the interior of each boot, as well as markings. Included is a pair of spurs. The boots are not period but later manufacture..
