C001895 CASED BRITISH BARBED WIRE CUTTERS.

Unique folding wire cutters in their original khaki webbed carrying holster. The metal cutters open to their full 40cm length when the handles are pulled apart. The cutters measure approximately 28cm long when folded. They are held together via a swing hook and stud. The cutters are broad arrow marked, along with a 1944 date. The forward base of the holster features a rivetted inverted triangular pocket. A horizontal retaining strap with a central brass stud is sewn across the center. A large fold over flap, with a brass snap button which mates with the stud to the retaining strap, is sewn to the top of the holster. Under the flap is a broad arrow marking, along with a 1945 date. Also present are the markings for the Danish Defence War Material Administration from Post WW2.
