C001795 FRENCH WWI M1916 TRENCH KNIFE.

A 28.5cm long knife with 15.5cm long blade that is marked “41 Gonon” to the ricasso. Included is a 19cm long scabbard. Of Note: After the occupation of France n the Second World War, the daggers continued to be produced for the Wehrmacht and the Kriegsmarine. They were designated as captured equipment under the name “Dolch 116".
