L008792 PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPH POSTCARD "Luftwaffe Paratrooper".
A standard size postcard, measuring approximately 9cm x 14cm that bears a very crisp photograph with excellent contrast and details. Photographer’s studio stamp and handwritten ink dedication on reverse. The paratrooper is wearing the paratrooper badge in metal on his chest and a newly-awarded Iron Cross Second Class. His Fliegerbluse is of the earlier type retaining the yellow Waffenfarbe piping around the collar and it does not appear to have the slash pockets, so likely an early war photo.
