L007594 COMBAT RUCKSACK. (Rucksack)

BACKGROUND: During the war the early M34 and M39 "pony fur" backpacks were found to be expensive and time consuming to produce which resulted in the production of a wide variety of less expensive rucksacks.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Coarsely woven, Luftwaffe blue/grey canvas construction rucksack with leather, canvas and metal fittings, is roughly 52cm tall, 44cm wide and 19cm deep. The leather straps are all broken and will need to be repaired. Maker marked and dated for 1941.
