K025768 U-126 EQUATOR CROSSING AWARD PLAQUE.
Hand made from wood measuring 10 & 3/4" x 7 & 3/4" x 1 & 1/4". Onto this is fixed an 8" long sheet brass representation of a U-Boat mounted diagonally across what looks like the three prongs of a Trident? (4 & 3/4" x 3 & 3/4") also cut from sheet brass. A small brass plate screwed onto the bottom of the plaque is etched "U-126, 28-10-41" (U-126 is also carved in small numbers).
