J014593 (IJA) EM/NCO'S "MODEL 1934" CANTEEN.
A late model, olive-drab painted aluminum canteen, with a wooden stopper and a khaki-colored webbed carrying harness, designed to replace the smaller capacity "Type 94 Koh" canteen and used by the Japanese army until 1945. The third variation webbed harness uses loops for the shoulder strap adjustment instead of metal adjustment buckle. The stopper strap uses cotton webbing to secure the stopper to either side of the canteen. The canteen is marked to the bottom.
