J014293 (IJA) TYPE 98 (MEIJI ERA) CANTEEN.
A olive-drab painted, aluminum 540ml canteen with leather harness, and a cork stopper with aluminum cap and eyelet. The leather is a bit dry, but remains flexible. The single prong buckle that holds the leather strap that passes through the eyelet is attached by only one leather loop which causes it to sit off balance. The aluminum canteen shows typical surface wear. Of Note: This model of canteen is also known as the "Sake Bottle Canteen".
