A olive-drab painted aluminum canteen with a cork stopper and leather carrying harness. The leather strap that would pass through the aluminium eye, each end of which has buckling holes which mate with the missing buckle to the opposite end of the leather harness has broken. The harness is comprised of two horizontal bands which encircle the bottom and the middle of the canteen, and are connected by a vertical band which is sewn to both their centers and runs underneath the canteen. Vertical bands are also sewn along both sides that are attached via single prong buckle.
