J009974 (IJA) M31 CAPTAIN'S SERVICE TUNIC.
A private purchase, fully-lined, light weight, tan-khaki-colored brushed wool tunic. The tunic has a single-breasted front closure with five golden-yellow alloy buttons to it, which lead to a stand-up collar with a dual hook-and-eye closure at the throat. Each of its horizontal slash breast pockets have scalloped, button-down flaps which mate with smaller versions of the buttons to the front closure. Horizontal slash pockets, with unbuttoned, straight-edged flaps, are to each hip. All five original collar liner attachment studs may be seen along the interior of the collar. Red wool collar tabs neatly hand stitched to the tunic. Nice matching pair of slip on shoulder boards (Missing one rank star). Roughly a size 34" chest. Shows the expected period use and wear but overall nice condition.
