J007083 (IJN) PETTY OFFICER SECOND CLASS SLEEVE RANK BADGE.
A 50mm x 74mm black cotton patch forming a point to the base, upon which is machine woven, in golden yellow, two horizontal bars above a stylized anchor that is surrounded by a wreath. A white cloth backing may be seen to the reverse. This post 1942 insignia, which would have been originally been worn on the upper right sleeve, signified the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.
