Flight service wings, introduced in October 1943 for all flying personnel serving with the IJA Air Service, machine woven to an approximately 10.5cm x 4cm section of olive drab rayon. The insignia is comprised of stylized, silver-white wings, 8.3cm from tip to tip, to either side of a golden-yellow wreath of laurels, which encloses a golden-yellow, five pointed star, beneath which is a silver-white, horizontal propeller, all outlined and against a medium blue base. The edges are roughly cut and lightly frayed, but the unissued insignia itself is still very clean and bright. Still on original factory roll material.
