J005884 BOXED MANCHUKUO RED CROSS MEMBERSHIP MEDAL.
A variant on the more common Red Cross Membership Medal which is from the "Independent" State of Manchukuo, established by the Japanese occupation forces between 1932 and 1934. The silver/alloy medal, features, to its obverse, a Red cross with four, five-lobe flowers rising beneath it. To its reverse are two lines of kanji characters. A clasp is to its top, through which is fed a ring for its ribbon. Watered silk ribbon is red with two vertical yellow stripes near either edge. Original box is complete. Scarce.
