J005289 (IJA) M98 (1938) WARRANT OFFICER’S SERVICE TUNIC.  

A high quality, partially-lined, service tunic constructed from olive drab colored cloth. Its single-breasted front closure has five, flat buttons to it, each of which are of gold/brass-colored metal, single hooks and eye at the throat, and all five original collar liner attachment studs with liner. Matching red wool tabs representing the rank of Warrant Officer have hand stitching to each collar tab, on each side of the collar. Included are a pair of Warrant Officer shoulder boards with original box and tissue paper. Two button-down pocket flaps and two unbuttoned, straight pocket flaps are to the hips. False French cuffs. There are cardboard inserts to each cuff opening to hold the shape. There are holes to the left facing shoulder. Approximately a size 34. Pristine.
