An unlined, light tan/khaki cotton tunic. The tunic features four exterior pockets, a four-button single-breasted front closure, open neck lapels, and a lay-down collar. Collar tabs signify the rank of Sergeant Major while the five pointed star represents one year of volunteer service. Tabs are original hand stitching to the tunic. Above the left facing breast pocket is a Military Police Branch of Service breast badge.  The patch breast pockets have straight-edged button down flaps, with buttons, and the unbuttoned slash hip pockets have straight-edged flaps. All of the original buttons to the front closure, and the smaller ones to the breast pockets are complete. Markings are to the interior. Chest size 37".
