J002395 (IJA) M31 TRANSPORT SERVICE TUNIC. 

A private purchase, fully lined tan khaki colored brushed wool tunic. The tunic has a single breasted front closure with five golden yellow alloy buttons to it, which lead to a stand up collar with a dual hook and eye closure at the throat. Each of its horizontal slash breast pockets have scalloped, button down flaps which mate with smaller versions of the buttons to the front closure. Horizontal slash pockets, with unbuttoned, straight edged flaps, are to each hip. All five original collar liner attachment button and liner are present. Maroon wool collar tabs with unit number “5”s neatly hand stitched to the tunic. Original attachment devises for the shoulder straps are present. Roughly a size 34" chest. Shows the expected period use, some small moth holes and wear but overall nice condition.
