Olive drab colored canvas army bread bag. Sewn to either upper edge of its back is a woven over the shoulder strap. Also sewn to the upper back, to the center between the two strap ends, are two tie tapes. The bag’s top fold over flap covers most of its front, and is angled inwards to each side. Two tie tapes, descending from either side of the interior of the fold over flap, mate with corresponding loops to the forward body of the bag. Inkstamped kanji may be seen along the upper rear of the two pocket interior, which include the character for the "Showa" era followed by the Roman numeral "19," indicating that the bag was manufactured in the nineteenth year of Showa, or 1944. Very nice!
