J001894 (IJA) OFFICER'S COMBAT SWORD/KATANA.

Note, this sword is not available for sale at this time as we are currently doing an evaluation on it. If any Guild member seeing this can contact me at the below email address to give me help with this example it would be greatly appreciated.

I contacted a friend in Japan to have him translate both sides of the tang for me. 

Here is the translation.

SANO YUKIHIDE(佐　行秀)
Swordsmiths in the late Edo period in Japan
(17 december 1813- 5 march 1887)
嘉永五年八月（date , august 1852）

Here is a photo showing they very unique temper line on the blade.

I suspect that this example may be quite valuable and would like to correctly price it for the family.
