J001194 (IJA) INFANTRY "TYPE 30" BAYONET.

Late war bayonet woth wooden scabbard. Serial numbers and manufacturer’s stamps are evident to the head of the blued, rectangular pommel with a button release. The lightly age-darkened, flat-sided wooden grips with a contoured bottom are fixed with two rivets. The straight contoured metal crossguard has a circular muzzle guide. Roughly 15 3/4" un-fullered blade. The maker’s mark to the ricasso indicates that it was made by the Toyada Automatic Loom Works, a subcontractor of the Nagoya Arsenal.
