J001094 (IJA) INFANTRY "TYPE 30" BAYONET.  

Type 30 bayonet and scabbard. Serial numbers and manufacturer's stamps are evident to the head of the bird's head pommel with a button release. The lightly age-darkened, contoured wraparound wooden grips are fixed with two rivets. The blued, hooked contoured metal crossguard has a circular muzzle guide. The 40cm fullered blade. First pattern sheet metal scabbard has a cloth cover. The maker’s mark to the ricasso is that of the Kokura Arsenal.
