J000785 (IJA) EM/NCO'S ANKLE BOOTS.  

A pair of 1939 pattern, russet brown leather, ankle-height boots with stacked leather soles and heels. The four-piece stitched uppers have five alloy lacing grommets to either side of their tongues. Pull tabs are complete. Impressed to each instep are three vertical columns of kanji characters within a circle. Boots measure approximately 29cm from toe-tip to heal. Period done patch repair to the ankle of the left boot. Nice worn and used example showing the expected age and wear.
