In 1915 assigned to the Kumano Maru. Received sake and money as imperial gift for the enthronement of Emperor Taisho.

Also received the Rising Sun, 8th Class, and 1914-1915 War Medal

December, 1915: Transferred to the cruiser Izumo

Three entries mention special escort duties with the Izumo for x-german submarine war trophies to Japan from Europe. Entries dated: December 20, 1918, January 17, 1919, and March 22, 1919.

Medals received while on the Izumo include: Rising Sun, 7th Class, and 1914 - 1920 War Medal

March 24, 1923 transferred to the destroyer Sugi - guarded the area of Mako, in the Taiwan Strait.

December 23, 1924, returned to Sasebo naval base

Highest rank attained: Machinist Petty Officer, 1st Class

Last stamp of record: reservist rollcall stamp on Showa 4 (1929)
