Type 30 bayonet and scabbard. Serial numbers and manufacturer’s stamps are evident to the head of the blued bird’s head pommel with a button release. Contoured wraparound wooden grips are fixed with two screws. The 40cm fullered blued blade. First pattern sheet metal scabbard, with ball tip and with a rounded strap band. The maker’s mark to the ricasso is that of the Riken Kozai (Riken Steel), a subcontractor under the Nagoya Arsenal.
