Pre WW1-German Set of 3 Colonial Photos from German East Africa. Approximately 9cm x 12cm, Sepia tone prints date to around 1913. Two are outdoor portraits of a German colonial official wearing a pith helmet, one is a group of Germans indoors at a social event in the town of Morogoro (German East Africa) dated "16/6 1913" at the "Kaiserhof." All the attendees are wearing variations of the white cotton tropical suit popular at the time. All have period inscriptions. Somewhat faded with age. Included are modern 13cm x 18cm black and white glossy prints which better show the details in the original period images. All in excellent condition. Scarce.
