A 9cm x 10cm portrait photograph of German Troops in
tropical uniform. Squad of German troops wearing the tropical pith helmet with
havelocks (neck shields) with the Imperial cockade on the right hand side, as
worn in Palestine and the Turkish front. The two soldiers lying prone in front
are wearing the M1900 Field Cap with leather chinstrap, but with two cockades.
Postally sent 11.4.18 (April 11, 1918) from Neuhammer. (Truppenübungsplatz
Neuhammer), which is now a part of Poland. Interesting photo.
