A 38mm diameter medallion that shows the left facing profile of Friedrich II, along with the words "FRIEDRICH II GROSSHERZOG VON BADEN", while the reverse reads "‘FÜR / VERDIENST’ (for Merit) within a circular oak wreath. The medallion is suspended by the original ribbon via wire loop. The front surface shows wear.
