A 37mm diameter alloy medal. To the front is the coat of arms of Hungary, being St. Stephen’s crown atop a shield with horizontal bars to the left, and a double-armed cross, not unlike the cross of Lorraine, to the right. Swords cross diagonally behind the shield, and laurels arch along the left, and oak leaves along the right. To its reverse is a profiled M16 helmet, with "1914-1918" underneath it, a spray of laurels arching along the base, and "Pro Deo Et Patria" (For God And Country) arching along the top. A small ring surmounts the medal, through which is fed a larger ribbon suspension loop. Original ribbon is complete. Included is a two piece cardboard case with paper hinge that measures approximately 6cm x 9cm with gilt embossing that reads "1914 1918".
