G007878 COLORIZED PHOTO/ARTWORK POSTCARD. (Postkarte) 

A 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", printed postcard with a colorized and re-touched photograph to its obverse of a woman smoking a pipe and dressed in full uniform with rifle and field gear. Above the image is printed "Jeder Feind, der mich entdeckt, Sicher gern die Waffen streckt!" To the reverse is a circular inkstamp with "K.D. Feldpost" and a September 1917 date. To the left of this first inkstamp is a second with "Infanterie-Regt 400" around "Briefstempel." An address and note, in pencil and in Sütterlin script, may also be seen. Typical age yellowing and soiling, particularly to the obverse, is evident.
