G005490 TWO PLACE MEDAL BAR.

WW1 German Colonial 2-Place Medal Bar with Battle Spangen. Nicely mounted medal pair featuring the Imperial Prussian Long Service Cross for 15 years and the 1904-08 South West Africa Campaign Medal with battle bars (Spangen) for the engagements at Hereroland, Gross-Namaland and Auob. The South West African Campaign Medal ("Südwestafrika-Denkmünze") was instituted by Kaiser Wilhelm II in March 1907 and was awarded to all Germans who had served in South West Africa during the Herero and Nama Rebellions between 1904 and 1908. Red felt backing with brass pin and catch on reverse. Very nice and rare pair.
